The Lousy Investor Episode 12:  3 Reasons That I Buy Brick Properties

Hey Everyone! Welcome back! Today I wanted to discuss the reasons that I primarily purchase brick single family and multi-family properties.

The first reason I buy brick investment properties is that they tend to have a high end feel to them. I have owned homes that have a vinyl exterior, or some other sort of composite material and they tend to look a little beat up or weathered. If you drive through a neighborhood with vinyl properties that need to be repaired, they can look a little shabby.

The second reason that I love brick properties is that the brick itself is so versatile! Brick can come in lighter or darker finishes, and it can also be painted if the owner desires. This leads to a number of different looks for the same material.

Lastly, and most importantly, brick is a very cost-effective property type. With brick, you will not have to worry about replacing the outside of your house or painting it if you choose not to. This leads to far more of the cash flow from the property going to your bottom line which is a huge win!
